Amp & Pedal Repair
Guitar and bass amps, tube and solid-state, plus pedals and effects. Whether it's a blown fuse or a failed output transformer, I find the fault and fix it properly.

SPEAKERS
Repair and restoration for guitar gear and home audio. You deal with the person doing the work, start to finish.
Services
Every piece of gear that comes through the shop gets the full treatment: careful diagnosis, honest assessment, and skilled hands.
Stereo & Hi-Fi
Vintage receivers, integrated amps, and power amps. Recaps, scratchy pots and switches, dead channels, dial lamps, and protection faults, brought back to factory spec and made reliable.
Speaker Repair
Foam surround replacement, re-coning, driver replacement, and crossover rebuilds. Rotted foam or a blown woofer doesn't mean a great pair of speakers is done.
Mods & Custom Builds
Tone upgrades, circuit mods, and custom wiring, or a from-scratch amp or pedal built to your spec. Thoughtful work that respects the original design.
About
I'm Jude. I started Aman Audio because I like working with my hands and figuring out how things work. I came to repair from computer science, and the same habit carries over: trace the problem back to its root and fix that, not just the symptom.
I learned a lot of this in Rochester working alongside Rob Storms of Sound Source and John Nau of Nau Engineering, then moved to Canandaigua in 2025. Now I work on guitar and bass amps, pedals, vintage receivers, and speakers.
It's a one-person shop. You talk to me at drop-off, I tell you what I find before any work starts, and I won't recommend repairs you don't need. Drop-offs are by appointment in Canandaigua. I work with people from Rochester, Geneva, Victor, and around the Finger Lakes.
